Let's get some logistics out of the way first...

The Trophy Loom PDF has been added to your BackerKit Digital Downloads, as well as to the Final PDF folder (which is linked in the backer-only update from May 16th). If you notice a typo or have any other kind of feedback, please let us know in this typo report form. If you contributed to the crowdsourcing from the Gauntlet Forums and would like for you name to appear differently in the credits, please let us know by sending us a message (not a comment) so we can change it before we go to print. 

Now for the fun stuff...

Saint Suraya has descended the from the heavens and delivered the Trophy Loom PDF to us! We're extremely proud of this book. We think you'll agree that it's nothing short of breathtaking—Jesse has really outdone himself on the art and layout, and the content is so inspiring. We're thrilled to share this deeper insight into the world of Trophy. We have gotten glimpses of the world through Trophy Dark, but with Trophy Loom we get a much better understanding of its richness, its culture, its lore. And, most importantly, it's your  Kalduhr; we're giving you the threads, but it's on your play group to weave something beautiful, tragic, and magnificent from them.

We'll check in again soon with general updates on the project. For now, please enjoy having a look at Trophy Loom!

A quick Trophy Loom update. Trophy Loom is laid out and the text has been given one final quality check. Jesse is still putting the finishing touches on some of the artwork. The book has over fifty original paintings in it, so it's a lot, but Jesse is furiously cranking away to get it finished—he's nearly done. In the meantime, we have put some Trophy Loom preview PDFs in the preview folder (see earlier backer-only updates for the link to that folder) so you can get an idea of what the book is like. We're also putting some images of the first pages of those sample sections below, just in case you want to quickly check out the artwork. If you backed on BackerKit and don't yet have access to the preview folder, just message us through KS messages or on Discord (Discord is better). 

Speaking of Discord, we want to encourage you again to join us there. It's the absolute best way to stay in touch with Team Trophy—we're always there, always hanging out, always answering questions. That server can be found here.

Hello! Following are some updates on various parts of the project...

Trophy Loom

We were getting close to being able to release the Trophy Loom PDF, but then Jesse got hit with a number of unexpected things at his day job and in his personal life, and so it got slowed. But things are back on track, and Jesse says he should have the final PDF to editorial by November 4th. From there, editorial will do a final quality check and then send it out to you (the final QC will take a day or two after we get the PDF from Jesse). In the meantime, we have some more preview pages to share, including a page that explains how to use the book, which we think you'll find interesting (note: these are not necessarily final).

Dice and tokens have been slowly arriving from their long journeys overseas. We have boxes of this stuff in a temperature-controlled storage facility until they're ready to be packed up and shipped out (we have enough Hunt Roll tokens to do a Scrooge McDuck dive into, haha). We're still wrapping up the artwork on the cards, but we'll be getting those printed very soon. 

A mere fraction

Roots of Old Kalduhr

As you know, during the Kickstarter campaign we funded the Trophy Gold megadungeon, Roots of Old Kalduhr. Roots has been, by a mile, the most challenging aspect of Trophy from a developmental standpoint—but it's a fun challenge. The trickiest part for the editorial team has been taking these 40+ sections, from dozens of different authors, and not only trying to make them fit with one another, but also making sure they are mechanically sound and following all the conventions of Trophy Gold. It was a lot to do, but the end result is so, so cool. The megadungeon is a work of art—easily one of the most captivating, thrilling things we've ever seen in a roleplaying game. 

We thought it would be fun to share our working diagrams with you. These are rough sketches of what the final set diagrams will look like in the Trophy Gold book. It isn't the final order of things, but it's pretty close. The megadungeon is divided into six layers, with multiple sets per layer, and different ways of traveling between the sets and between the layers. The special sets called "Streets" and "the Climb" are large, generic sets that are used when traversing the megadungeon, and certain large sets, like the Rhunnveldt Gardens, contain smaller sets within them.

Trophy Discord Server

We want to encourage your to join the Trophy Discord server. The project creators and editors are on that discord. We're very interactive and love chatting about the project. We organize online game sessions, contests, and all kinds of other stuff on that server, too. You can also learn about all the 3rd-party Trophy projects that are out there. It's a great community. You can find that server here.

Hey everyone! Jesse is plugging away on Trophy Loom. We're getting close, and as soon as it's done, you'll have the PDF in hand. In the meantime, we have a couple of quick updates plus A TON of artwork to share with you. 

Final BackerKit charges

There are  some BackerKit orders we haven't yet charged. We'll be charging all the rest of those on July 15th.
